Panel Discussion | Landscape and Politics
Wednesday, September 19, 2018
6:30 – 8:30 pm
WUHO Gallery 6518 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028
Join us Wednesday Sept 19, 2018 at 6.30PM for our next LALA Salon on the topic of Landscape and Politics. The panel discussion will be moderated by Chris Torres (Superjacent) and feature speakers Stephanie Landregan (Program Director of Landscape Architecture at UCLA Extension) and Emily Gabel-Luddy (current Mayor of Burbank) on their experiences in the realms of both Landscape Architecture and politics. We will explore landscape as a political act and how Landscape Architecture engages with cultural forces and policy. How can cities better advocate for a stronger public realm? How can design strategy be incorporated into government institutions? How can we equip landscape architects to more fluidly move between design and policy?
